Contribute Your Artwork to KCAC’s 2026 Annual Benefit Art Auction

Donating a piece to KCAC’s Annual Art Auction is a meaningful way to support the organization that champions artists year-round. Each contribution directly fuels exhibitions, artist resources, educational programs, and community engagement—and offers a valuable opportunity to connect with collectors and expand your audience.

2026 UPDATE: This year, artwork included in the LIVE AUCTION will be selected by a committee of museum representatives and curators from across the Kansas City region. Every piece donated will be reviewed by this panel, ensuring a thoughtful and equitable selection process that highlights the strength and diversity of our local arts community.

  • Who can donate?
    Any adult artist can donate. Artists do not have to be members.

    About the Artwork
    Artists should give ONE piece to the auction - so pick the best! Want to donate more than one piece? Please give KCAC staff a call to coordiante.

    Donations are encouraged to be at least $100 retail value. List retail price on the label (What it would be sold for in a retail gallery).

    Size maximum of 48″ in any dimension. If wishing to donate a larger artwork, please contact a member of the KCAC team for approval.

    Must be original work (no reproductions or open edition prints).

    2D artworks MUST be wired and/or ready to hang

    KCAC determines placement in Auction (Silent or Live). KCAC will determine the BUYOUT price which allows the seller to purchase the work prior to auction at a price listed over the retail value.

    Benefits of Donating
    Donating artists receive two gratis General Admission tickets to attend the Auction.

    Auction ticket prices:
    o $40 if purchased on or before February 1, 2026
    o $50 after February 1, 2026 or at the door on Auction Night

    What is the benefit of donating early?
    Names that we get by the Pledge deadline (Dec. 21st) will be listed on the Auction announcement. KCAC cannot guarantee that late pledges will make it on the announcement; however, they will be listed in the auction program.

    Final deadline: January 6, 2024

    When to deliver your artwork?
    Deliver auction donations to KCAC between January 2-4th, between 11am and 5pm.

    KCAC is located at 3200 Gillham Rd (just down the street from Costco and neighboring Jiffy Lube on Linwood).

    KCAC’s Auction will be held at the Medallion Theater
