KCAC Galleries and Auxiliary Exhibition Spaces

KCAC’s exhibitions seek to provide a forum for contemporary art and champion work of local artists increasing the viability of Kansas City as a place for artists to live and work.

  • The Main Gallery is a large open gallery with cement floors, track lighting and windows allowing significant natural light into the space.

    ~ 1,632 square feet
    ~ 10 feet – ceiling height
    ~ 88 feet – linear hanging space
    ~ Suspended lighting – 9 feet from the floor in three banks, which run the length of the gallery East to West.
    ~ Cement floors
    ~ Large windows on the North and East Walls

    All artists are eligible for an exhibition in the Main Gallery including national and international artists.

  • The Snap Space is slated for experimental exhibitions by emerging artists. Exhibitors are asked to facilitate workshops, demonstrations, talks, or panels throughout the exhibition.

    ~ 59 square feet
    ~ 12 feet – ceiling height
    ~ 43 feet – linear hanging space
    ~ Suspended lighting – 11 feet from the floor which run the length of the gallery space.
    ~ Cement floors
    ~ 81 x 60 inches – door entry size

    Snap Space exhibitions are dedicated to emerging artists.

  • This exhibition space is in partnership with our friends at MIDTOWN KC NOW and is available for viewing at their offices located at 3931 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64111.
