For the past 12 years, I've focused on my career as an arts administrator and haven't been actively engaged in my own artistic practice. Now, after more than a year of writing these notes to you, something must have rubbed off… as I’ve found that I’ve been inspired to reengage my art practice.

Recently, I've had several conversations around rest, focus, attention, and deep work. That we need regular breaks from various media, the demand to be productive, and the constant connection to devices and social networks. The lesson being that we as humans need to invest in offline practices that allow us to replenish and restore.
