Contemporary visual artists are critical to our community's artistic heritage. The Kansas City Artists Coalition is a space for innovative and experimental art, which does not readily lend itself to commercial venues, as well as work that reflects the special interests of the Midwestern artist. The Artists Coalition supports and embraces the concept that regional artists' work has value and is deserving of a professional venue.

The Kansas City Artists Coalition programming dates back to 1976, when exhibitions were mounted in public spaces throughout Kansas City and at local colleges. Since 1983, the Artists Coalition has had its own gallery and has produced an ongoing series of exhibitions drawing artists from our city and region, as well as, artists in other locations across the United States.
