BRAXTON FULLER

Braxton Fuller is an American contemporary artist (b. 1992), based out of Kansas City, Missouri. With a unique artistic journey that began as a poetry writer, he has since evolved into a creator of thought-provoking text and abstract works.

Braxton intends to evoke genuine emotions within the viewer, encouraging them to experience the present moment deeply. Each artwork represents a significant period in his life, serving as a visual conduit through which he communicates his personal journey and experiences. Using various mediums, FULLER's work explores the challenges and struggles of being a human being, while exploring the subconscious thoughts we all have.

HIS artistic journey is a testament to the power of self-discovery and the infinite possibilities within the intersection of language and visual expression. Through his art, he not only reflects his personal experiences but also invites others to explore the depths of their own emotions, fostering a sense of shared understanding and connection in a world often challenged by communication barriers.

Artist Statement

In my artistic journey, I've grappled with expressing emotions, but my art practice has become a transformative outlet for connecting with others while working through my inner world. Initially, as a poetry writer, I dove into painting text works, evolving into conceptual art, created my own symbols, & at present, creating text-based works.

My minimalist style paired with sarcastic quotes serves to engage the audience's thought process, evoking self-reflection and contemplation. Each painting captures a specific moment in time, one we can all relate to, while delving into themes of love, suffering, and unspoken thoughts that my art brings to life with a playful tone.

I aim to shed light on the obstacles society faces in communication, encouraging viewers to ponder and experience something profound. My artworks serve as windows into the human experience, bridging the gap between emotions we hide and conversations we long to have. I aim to change the landscape of text-based artworks while transforming the human thought process.
