The Artists Coalition’s 25th Annual Benefit Art Auction

Collectors, art enthusiasts, friends of the Artists Coalition join with us to make this a great event! Hundreds of pieces of
art donated by the region’s best artists will be offered in this auction. It’s a great opportunity to view the work of local
artists in one location. The auction will no doubt be the most fun you’ll have buying art this year and it’s fabulous way to
start off any year!!
Auction Preview
February 1-15, Monday - Saturday 11am-6pm. Sunday, February 3 & 10, 1-4pm. Preview artworks before the excitement
of Auction night. Bid on Silent Auction artworks. If you are unable to attend the Live Auction make absentee bids.
Carnivale Reception, A Celebration of Sweets
Wednesday, February 13, 7-9pm. The Carnivale Reception honors our contributing artists and patrons. Come celebrate
with us! Refreshments will be served and it’s another great chance to preview the artwork, make bids or even BUY OUT a
piece in the Silent Auction. Open to the public. Tickets are $12.50 at the door. Bring this announcement with you or wear
a mask and attend the Carnivale Reception as our guest.
Annual Benefit Art Auction
Saturday, February 16, doors open at 6pm. Auction regulars will tell you to come early, dress casually and in layers (as
the bidding gets hot so does the room) and be ready for a great time!
Silent Auction
Bidding closes Saturday, February 16, promptly at 7:45pm! (Just before the Live Auction begins!) The Silent Auction
begins when the artworks go on preview February 1st. Remember you must have a Bidder Number to make a bid on a
Silent Auction artwork. You can bid anytime during preview week up to and until the Silent Auction closes. So stake your
claim early and be ready to up your bid Saturday evening before the Silent Auction closes at 7:45pm!
Buy Out Bids
Bidding on Silent Auction pieces will be closed when a BUY OUT bid is made. The BUY OUT price is determined by the
Kansas City Artists Coalition and is listed for each artwork. Pieces must stay on display through the Auction.
Live Auction
Live Auction bidding begins at 8:15pm. This is it! By now you have finished bidding on your Silent Auction selections and
are ready to be a part of the fun and thrills of the Live Auction!
General Admission Tickets
General Admission tickets may be purchased at the KCAC Gallery for $20. Your ticket is your admission for the Live
Auction and must be presented to receive a Bidder Number.
Special Reserve Seat Tickets
Special Reserve Seat tickets may be purchased at the KCAC Gallery for $100. A limited number of reserved seats - up
front, where you can really follow the bidding are available for $100. Reserve seats must be purchased by Saturday,
February 9th. The price of this special ticket is not refundable; however, the $100 may be applied toward the purchase of
one Live Auction Artwork. Reserve Seat Ticket Holders must also purchase an Auction General Admission Ticket for $20.
Bidder Numbers
You must have a Bidder Number to bid in both the Silent and Live Auctions. Available when you purchase your General
Admission Ticket. Pick up your Bidder Number during the Auction Preview and you will be ready to go on Auction night!

Doors open at 6pm. Silent Auction bidding closes promptly at 7:45pm. Live Auction bidding begins at 8:15pm. Appetizers
will be served from 6-8pm. Beverages will be served all evening. The Live Auction generally lasts until 10:30 or 11pm
and checkout for both the Live and Silent Auction begins at 9pm. Cash, checks, MasterCard/Visa, American Express and
Discover cards accepted.
ART AUCTION FOR ART LOVERS
The Artists Coalition will be hosting its 25th
Annual Benefit Art Auction in February 2008. Artworks donated by the region's best artists are offered in the Kansas City Artists Coalition's Annual Benefit Art Auction. Whether you're looking for that special new piece for your home or office, and whether you consider yourself a collector, art enthusiast, or simply a friend of the Artists Coalition, you are invited to join with us to make this a great event. The auction will no doubt be the most fun you'll have buying art, and is a fabulous way to start off any year.
Preview the selection of wonderful artworks available for auction in the preview exhibition and also at the sweetheart reception. Both the sweetheart reception and the preview exhibition are open to the public. Bids and buy outs may be made on silent auction artworks during this event and throughout the preview exhibition as well as absentee bids for live auction artwork.
General admission tickets may be purchased at the Kansas City Artists Coalition. Your ticket is your admission for the live auction and must be presented to receive a bidder number. You must have a bidder number to bid in both the live and silent auctions. You can pick up your bidder number anytime during the auction preview exhibition. When you walk in on auction night with everything in hand, you'll have a jump on the competition.
Tickets for a limited number of special reserve seats, up front, where you can really follow the bidding, will be available for purchase. Reserve seats must be purchased prior to auction night. The price of this special ticket is not refundable.
Buy out bids are available for silent auction artworks. The bidding on silent auction pieces will be closed only once a buy out bid is made or at the close of the silent auction on auction night. Buy out prices are determined by the Kansas City Artists Coalition and are listed on each artwork. When a piece is bought out prior to auction night, the piece must stay on display until the conclusion of the auction.
