The Artists Coalition’s 29th Annual Benefit Art Auction

Collectors, art enthusiasts, friends of the Artists Coalition join with us to make this a great event! Hundreds of pieces of
art donated by the region’s best artists will be offered in this auction. It’s a great opportunity to view the work of local
artists in one location. The auction will no doubt be the most fun you’ll have buying art this year and it’s fabulous way to
start off any year!!
Auction Preview
February 1-11, Wednesday - Saturday 11am - 6pm.
Sunday, February 5 & 12, 1 - 4pm.
Free and open to the public
Preview artworks before the excitement
of Auction night. Bid on Silent Auction artworks. If you are unable to attend the Live Auction make absentee bids.
Reception
Wednesday, February 15, 7-9pm. The Reception honors our contributing artists and patrons. Come celebrate
with us! Refreshments will be served and it’s another great chance to preview the artwork, make bids or even BUY OUT a
piece. NEW THIS YEAR! A bidder can also BUY OUT pieces in the Live Auction. All BUY OUTS must be made before the end of the Reception on February 15th.
Open to the public. Tickets are $12.50 at the door.
Art Auction
Saturday, February 18, doors open at 6pm. Auction regulars will tell you to come early, dress casually and in layers (as
the bidding gets hot so does the room) and be ready for a great time!
Silent Auction
Bidding closes Saturday, February 18, promptly at 7:45pm! (Just before the Live Auction begins!) The Silent Auction
begins when the artworks go on preview February 1st. Remember you must have a Bidder Number to make a bid on a
Silent Auction artwork. You can bid anytime during preview up to and until the Silent Auction closes. So stake your claim early and be ready to up your bid Saturday evening before the Silent Auction closes at 7:45pm!
Buy Out Bids
Bidding on Silent Auction pieces will be closed when a BUY OUT bid is made. The BUY OUT price is determined by the
Kansas City Artists Coalition and is listed for each artwork. Pieces must stay on display through the Auction.
absentee bids
Absentee bids can be made in person or by mail. Bidders must pruchase a ticket to the KCAC's 2012 Annual Benefit Auction and obtain a bidder number. Tickets for the auction cost $25. In person bids must be placed with a KCAC staff member at KCAC's office before 9pm on February 15, 2012. Mailed bids must be received by KCAC on or before February 14, 2012.

Live Auction
Live Auction bidding begins at 8:15pm. This is it! By now you have finished bidding on your Silent Auction selections and
are ready to be a part of the fun and thrills of the Live Auction!
General Admission Tickets
General Admission tickets may be purchased at the KCAC Gallery for $25. Your ticket is your admission for the Live
Auction and must be presented to receive a Bidder Number.
Special Reserve Seat Tickets
Special Reserve Seat tickets may be purchased at the KCAC Gallery for $100. A limited number of reserved seats - up
front, where you can really follow the bidding are available for $100. Reserve seats must be purchased by Wednesday, February 18th. The price of this special ticket is not refundable; however, the $100 may be applied toward the purchase of one Live Auction Artwork. Reserve Seat Ticket Holders must also purchase an Auction General Admission Ticket for $25.
Bidder Numbers
You must have a Bidder Number to bid in both the Silent and Live Auctions. Available when you purchase your General
Admission Ticket. Pick up your Bidder Number during the Auction Preview and you will be ready to go on Auction night!
FYI
Doors open at 6pm. Silent Auction bidding closes promptly at 7:45pm. Live Auction bidding begins at 8:15pm. Appetizers
will be served from 6-8pm. Beverages will be served all evening. The Live Auction generally lasts until 10:30 or 11pm
and checkout for both the Live and Silent Auction begins at 9pm. Cash, checks, MasterCard/Visa, American Express and Discover cards accepted.
