ARTIST TOOLKITS
Artist Toolkits provides artists with the tools to move forward with their artistic careers. Concentrating on career development, Artist Toolkits covers subjects such as avenue of the arts, career management and organization, creating digital images, marketing, preparing digital portfolios, preparing digital images for print and the web, and writing your artists statement. Artist Toolkits has also offered advanced workshops covering topics such as applying for public art projects, approaching commercial galleries for representation, and advanced marketing.

KCVLAA Workshop Series
KCAC will be working in conjunction with The Kansas City Volunteer Lawyers & Accountants for the Arts (KCVLAA) to present a series of workshops
KCVLAA is also offering reduced prices to KCAC members on fees for workshops and KCVLAA membership.
All KCAC members have two options:
-KCAC members are welcome to join the KCVLAA as members at half price, just click on the following link: http://www.kcvlaa.org/join. Memberships for individual artists are normally $50 per calendar year, but KCAC members may join for $25. A membership entitles the member to free admission to all workshops and also one free application for services per year. To take advantage of a half price membership, KCAC members will need to go to the previously listed web address and fill in the Individual Membership Form. Be sure to list KCAC as the Organization and check the box for Affiliate Membership.
-If you do not want to join the KCVLAA, all KCAC members are able to attend KCVLAA programming held at the Artists Coalition for a reduced workshop fee of $10. This fee applies regardless if the KCAC member pre-registers on-line or registers at the door.

Public Art 101 for Artists

Participants will learn the basic "nuts and bolts" of the field of public art. The 90-minute webinar will cover some of the unique skills required for art-making in the public realm including an overview of public art and the public realm, project examples, programs, funding, implementation and resources for further study. Two case studies will be presented which explore the experiences of two artists who have transitioned from the studio/gallery to the public realm.
The webinar is suited for administrators interested in better understanding the artists' experience and artists exploring public art as a profession.
