Folly Theater's "Art for Art" Auction

The Folly Theater presents "Art for Art," an Art and Experience Silent Auction with champagne, wine, soft drinks, and light refreshments (plus online bidding option). You are invited to contribute artwork to be featured in this silent auction! 

This event celebrates the Folly's commitment to connecting the community to all art forms in new and exciting ways. Proceeds will support the Folly's creative programming including the Folly Jazz Series, the Folly Americana Series, and the education-enriching Folly Kids' Series. 

The Folly Theater invites artists to support their beautiful, historic theater by contributing artworks, valued between $250 and $5,000, to be included in this benefit auction. Please note; this is a benefit for the Folly Theater. As such, artists will receive 25% of the final sale proceeds from your artwork during the auction. (Example; if you need to make $200 from your sale, price your work at $800. There is also an option for works to sell at a higher price through the auction, but no guarantee.) 

Your artwork will be included in an online catalog for the auction, in advance marketing materials, and will be displayed at the Folly for advance previews on various evening and weekend dates during the weeks leading up to the auction when space is available. 

In exchange for your collaboration on this benefit auction, the Folly will: 

  • Provide you with 2 tickets to the Matthew Whitaker Quintet Jazz Series concert at the Folly Theater on Saturday, April 6; and 

  • Share 25% of the sale proceeds from your artwork during the auction (as stated above)

Buttonwood Art Space is a proud supporter of the Folly Theater, and as such, they will be collecting art submissions on the Folly’s behalf. Please submit your pieces through your Artist Profile on the Buttonwood Art Space website. Delivery & Acceptance Details

Artists will receive confirmation of accepted artworks on Tuesday February 27th. Accepted works will need to be delivered to the Folly Theater's Business Office March 21 - 23. Unsold works will need to be picked up April 15-17.
